JACKSON, Tenn. — Police have charged two juveniles in connection with an
attempted murder after a Tuesday morning drive-by shooting.On Tuesday around 8:20 a.m. police responded to a shooting call in east Jackson.
Witnesses tell police a car drove by a house in the 800 block of East
Lafayette Street and multiple shots were fired into the home.The residence was occupied, but no one was injured in the shooting.
Police located a suspect vehicle on Carnell Street and took four juveniles
and two adults into custody to hold for questioning.According to the police, a 17-year-old male was identified as the shooter.
That suspect is charged with attempted first-degree murder and possession
of a firearm. A 16-year-old female is charged with facilitation of attempted
first-degree murder.20 Year Old Brandon Burnett, of Jackson was not charged in the shooting
but was arrested on outstanding warrants in connection with two December
burglaries, according to the release.The two teens are being held at the Madison County Juvenile Detention
Center.Burnett is being held at the Madison County Jail in lieu of a $25,000
bond.
