Turnout for Early Voting sets new record; Thursday is final day

There were 2,617 ballots cast on Wednesday, during Early Voting in Madison County.

The total number of ballots cast totals 27,404, which sets a new early and absentee voting turnout record.

The previous record was 26,213 which was set in the November 2008 during the Presidential Election.  This new number represents over 43% of the registered voters in Madison County.

The final day of Early Voting ends Thursday.

Early voting hours are 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., today and Thursday.

The early voting location is 311 North Parkway in Jackson. You must present a photo ID issued by the State of Tennessee or the U.S. government.
