As part of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, Tuesday Morning announced in a press release the company will close about 230 of its nearly 700 stores.

In the first phase of closures, set to take place this summer, it will close at least 132 stores.

Tuesday Morning in Jackson – Located at 621 Old Hickory Blvd., in Hamilton Hills Shopping Center, was not on the list, but stores in Knoxville, Nashville and Chattanooga will close.

The off-price home-goods retailer listed the addresses of these locations in court filings on Wednesday and said they were expected to begin closing on June 1.

Tuesday Morning said in a court filing that the stores were selected because they were underperforming or too close to another location in its portfolio.

Business hours at the Jackson location are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays.
