Trey Smith, who started each football game at the University of Tennessee during the 2017 season, will miss a portion of spring practice due to a medical issue.
Smith, a 6-foot-6, 320-pound star offensive lineman at the University School of Jackson, entered UT – according to several recruiting services – as the nation’s No. 1 high school football prospect.
His first season culminated with him being named a Freshman All-American.
