Details are limited, but according to eyewitnesses, Trey Cleek, the Area director for Americans for Prosperity, was seriously injured after he was hit by an automobile at 311 North Parkway, Friday.

Trey, who was supporting candidates during Early Voting, was taken to Vanderbilt Hospital after what has been reported as his left ankle was seriously damaged after an individual described as an elderly driver entered the exit lane at the AgCenter Complex and hit another vehicle that was backing out of a parking space.

After apparently hitting the accelerator instead of the brakes, the driver hit Trey.
