Total Fitness Kickboxing opens its first location outside the Memphis area at 1430 Union University Drive in Thomsen Farms.

When the build-out is complete, Total Fitness Kickboxing will share the same strip center with Steak Escape, Lazy Suzy and Blue Coast Burrito.

Total Fitness – which hopes to be open by early May – will occupy about 1,500-square-feet.

The owners – who have seven years experience in the fitness kickboxing industry – are David Ferguson, Butch Mauldin and Eric McMahon.

The director of operations for each of the five locations is Joe Pass, who is best known as the first champion of Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Challenge.

Total Fitness will offer free classes to the community during its first two weeks of business.
