THP Warns of Suspicious Clowns

JACKSON, Tenn. — Lt Brad Wilbanks, spokesperson for the Tennessee Highway
Patrol, says that although there have not been any “possibly dangerous clown”
sightings in our area the public should remain vigilant.

Wilbanks said this is a matter of public safety. There is the  possibility that there might be a child predator and Thad why we are trying to alert people to be aware of for safety reasons.

Officials say residents should be alert. We have a responsibility to make
the public aware of any possible danger and these suspicious clown
sightings are something taking place all over the state, said Lt Wilbanks.

In most reports clowns have been spotted around wooded areas and apartment
complexes.

Authorities say parents need to keep an eye on children and warn them
about not talking to strangers.
