Unable to host its largest annual fundraiser – the 31st Annual Charity Gala – the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation still found a way to raise $150,000 to divide between the Ayers Children’s Medical Center and the Kirkland Cancer Center.
Due to the pandemic, the Foundation took to the airwaves to solicit funds to help provide for the support of care of patient needs for those unable to pay for their care.
“We are grateful to our amazing donors that helped us reach this amazing goal, during this COVID year,” Frank McMeen said, “Exceeding our goal of $150,000 allows us to continue our support for the children at Ayers Children’s Medical Center and the patients and the Kirkland Cancer Center.”
Frank McMeen, the president of the Foundation, joined Bill White, Chair of the Board, in presenting the checks during the West Tennessee Healthcare’s Board of Trustees monthly meeting at Jackson-Madison County Hospital, Tuesday.
“We are grateful to Grace Media Group – News/Talk 101.5 FM and 93.1 FM – for making the radiothon possible,” McMeen said, “Delta Dental provided the $50,000 challenge gift and Voya Financial helped us to reach beyond the $100,000 mark and reach the $150,000 goal.”
