(January 20, 2014) JACKSON –The Jackson Exchange Club will honor two high school students on Tuesday, January 21st as part of its ongoing commitment to area youth. Mary Parker Johnstone, a student at Madison Academic High School, has been chosen as Exchange’s Student of the Month for January. The Student of the Month Award recognizes industrious high school students who attain high levels of scholastic achievement, community involvement and leadership.
Stephen Wayne Clark, a student at South Side High School, has been chosen as Exchange’s A.C.E. Award Winner for the Month of January. This program recognizes high school students who have made a dramatic change in their attitude and performance sometime during their high school years. These changes have enabled the students to overcome their adversities and prepare for graduation. The award’s name is an acronym for Accepting the Challenge of Excellence.
