JACKSON, TN – The Care Center of Jackson will hold a ribbon cutting on October 27, at 11 a.m., at 372 North Liberty Street, in Jackson, Tennessee, to celebrate the beginning of Phase 2 of the Genesis Homes project.

Funded by generous donations and a grant from the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, this phase strengthens The Care Center’s mission of providing safe, affordable transitional housing for women and women with children.

“The Care Center’s goal is to provide new beginnings to the women and women with children who pass through its doors and we could not think of a better new beginning than The Genesis Home project,” said Nathan Young, founder of The Care Center. “The project will provide transitional housing that will aid in the center’s goal to help women in need on the path to security and independence.”

The Care Center is a Christian organization established in 1992 whose mission is to serve the homeless and abused women and their children. Many of these women have found themselves in a particularly dangerous situation, often as a victim of abuse. The Care Center provides free and safe in-residence living, as well as affordable housing programs, such as the Genesis Homes program, to help women regain independence and have the skills necessary to be confident and successful members of society.
