Tennessee’s annual sales tax holiday starts today, July 25, 2025, and runs through Sunday, July 27, at 11:59 p.m. Shoppers can save nearly 10% on clothing, school supplies, and computers, with no sales tax applied to eligible items.
Clothing and school supplies priced at $100 or less per item, and computers priced at $1,500 or less, qualify for the exemption. Items like jewelry, handbags, sports equipment, and separately sold computer accessories are not included. Online purchases for personal use are also tax-free if shipped to a Tennessee address.
The tax holiday, a boost for back-to-school shopping, applies statewide, including in popular shopping spots like Sevierville and Pigeon Forge. For a full list of eligible items, visit www.tn.gov/revenue.
