Teen pleads guilty in shooting, eligible for release in three and a half years, according to plea deal.
JACKSON, Tenn. (May 11, 2015) – An 18-year-old charged in a 2013 west Jackson shooting entered a guilty plea Monday.
Deontae Adkisson has pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree murder as part of the plea agreement other counts dropped.
According to Investigators, Deontae Adkisson a day after getting into a fight with another 15-year-old went to an apartment complex and shot the victim in the side. Adkisson was 15 years old at the time. He was charged as an adult.
Adkisson received a 12-year sentence but, as part of the plea agreement, he will be eligible for release after serving three and a half years.
