JACKSON, Tenn. – The Union University women’s basketball team has signed Trinity Christian Academy standout Olivia Lee.
According to a press release from Steven Aldridge – Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Communication at Union University – Lee will enter Union in the fall of 2023 as a freshman.
Union head coach Mark Campbell said, “I have known Olivia since she came to Pee Wee Camp as a 4-year-old. We go to church together! I have watched her grow up and become an exceptional athlete, extremely competitive, can play multiple positions, and possess a great heart. She is a perfect fit for our playing style and a perfect fit at Union. I am very excited to have her a part of our basketball family.”
Lee, a 5-foot-11 guard, prepped at Trinity Christian Academy where she played four years of varsity basketball, track, and soccer. She also played three years for the Alabama Southern Stars.
While at TCA, she helped lead her team to the Tennessee D2-A Basketball State Title in 2020. Lee was named all-district four times, all-region three times, and all-state three times.
She was named Tennessee Miss Basketball in 2022 and was a finalist in 2021. She was also named the West Tennessee Female Athlete of the Year in 2022. Lee scored over 2,000 points in high school.
Lee is the daughter of Mark and Kristen Lee.
