Jake Wilson, a pitcher and outfielder for the Trinity Christian Academy Lions, will continue his academic and athletic career at Union University.
Jake, who signed with the Bulldogs, Monday, is a top 500 player nationally, Perfect Game All-American and Prep Baseball Report first team all-state.
Jake hit .360 as a junior, was 7-3 on the mound with a 1.43 earned run average, and recorded 101 strikeouts in 56 innings of work.
An all-purpose athlete, Jake, who played running back and wide receiver for Trinity Christian, was the NEWS/TALK 101.5 FM & WNWS.COM football ‘Player of the Week,’ October 6.
Jake helped the Lions celebrate homecoming with a 29-22 win over visting Fairley, when he rushed for 102 yards – two touchdowns – on 16 carries and returned a kick off (2 total, 108 yards) for a touchdown.
