From TCA Athletic Director Dexter Williams –
Coach Blake Butler shared with the football team this (Wednesday) morning that he will not be returning to TCA for the 2023-2024 season.
“This is one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make. After 12 years of being your head football coach, Allison, our boys, and I feel that the Lord is leading us to return to Memphis.
“I will be accepting the position as the next Head Coach at ECS. I will always be a supporter of TCA and cheer the Lions on from a distance now.
“Thank you for the last 12 years and the lifetime relationships we have formed while here in Jackson.”
Coach Butler and his family will be greatly missed by the TCA community and will always be Lions!
Dexter Williams, Athletic Director, will oversee the careful search and interview process for TCA’s next Head Football Coach.
An announcement will be made to the TCA community from our Athletic Department when this decision has been made. Please be in prayer for Blake, Allison, Kade, Drake, and Hudson in this transition.
