At the request of 28th District Attorney General Garry Brown, TBI Special Agents are investigating a deadly, officer-involved shooting involving the Gibson County Sheriff’s Department and the Milan Police Department.

The incident occurred this morning on State Route 187 in Milan.

Preliminary information indicates deputies and officers were attempting to take a subject into custody when the shooting occurred.

Agents are on the way to the scene.

At this time, TBI is not confirming the name of the subject, who has died, pending notification of his next-of-kin.
