From the Jackson Police Department
[Jackson, TN] – Officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at 2239 Hollywood Drive at approximately 4:09 a.m., this (Friday) morning.
Shortly after, a male victim arrived at a local hospital suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transferred to a hospital in Memphis, TN, where he remains in stable condition.
Jackson Police investigators responded to the scene and quickly identified the suspect as 25-year-old David Lee Cole II.
Today, July 11, 2025 at approximately 10 a.m., David Lee Cole II surrendered himself and was taken into custody at the Jackson Police Department then transported to CJC.
Cole will be formally arraigned in Jackson City Court for the charge of Aggravated Assault.
