Jackson TN, July 7, 2011 – The search for the next director of schools continues Thursday.
The man or woman who will be responsible for leading the local school system may be one of the two candidates now under consideration.
On Wednesday Terrence Martin, South Region, Associate Superintendent of Schools in Des Moines, IA was in town for for turn at the school board and members of the community.
The next meeting will be 4:00 this afternoon at Jackson City Hall, Council Room, with Dr Beth Martin, Florence County, SC Superintendent.
The public is ENCOURAGED to attend, ask questions and submit a written evaluation of the candidate.
The room was full for about 2 hours as Terrence Martin fielded questions from the community on a varity of topics. He was energetic, positive, and spoke with the passion of someone who believes in his message. Will his message resonate with decision makers? Was there a WOW factor or a moment that he captured attention and convinced board members that he is the man for the job?
