JACKSON, TN – SUBWAY restaurants has launched the “Buy A Hero, Be A Hero” campaign in an effort to help fight Cancer in the West Tennessee area.
During the promotion, customers are encouraged to visit participating SUBWAY restaurants from March 13 to May 21, 2017, and purchase the new Italian Hero sub. For every Italian Hero sold, SUBWAY® will donate 50 cents to the Kirkland Cancer Center. And, every dollar goes back into the local community to assist those undergoing cancer treatment.
Local West Tennessee SUBWAY restaurants have committed to a total donation of $1,500.
Subway customers can also donate directly to the cause at any of the participating restaurants until May 21.
“The Foundation and Kirkland Cancer Center are so blessed to have such a supportive community partner like Subway” says Frank McMeen, President of the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation. “Last year’s Subway House sponsorship has now led to this wonderful campaign to benefit local Cancer patients in the West Tennessee community.”
In a partnership with the Kirkland Cancer Center and the Foundation, SUBWAY is a sponsor of a home for cancer patients needing assistance during their treatments. Subway House is a part of West Tennessee Healthcare’s current Hospitality House Program, which provides lodging for patients and families with travel constraints which would negatively impact their healthcare.
