Business Spotlight – Rachel Tucker new economic development director at Jackson Chamber
The Jackson Chamber is pleased to announce the hiring of Rachel Tucker, the new Economic Development Coordinator.
According to a press release from Brittany Crockett – Social Media & Online Content, Adelsberger Marketing – Tucker is a graduate of Union University.
She previously interned at the Jackson Chamber as an Economic Development intern in 2019-2020.
“Rachel made quite an impression on our team when she served as our economic development intern and we are excited to welcome her back to the Jackson Chamber in an official capacity as a staff member,” said Mandy White, Senior Vice President of Economic Development, “Her experience within the internship, as well as her work experience after college, will allow her to hit the ground running and contribute to the team immediately. The Economic Development Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of confidential economic development and administrative duties.
Rachel will also maintain a daily record of accounts receivable for the organization. Additional responsibilities include updating social media accounts, and providing support and administrative duties in other areas such as workforce development, leadership development, events, and others, as needed.

The building, not the business – Buchanan Realty Group brokers $3.7 million sale of Eye Clinic, P.C., 668 Skyline Dr.
Chicago, ILL., Jackson, TN – Chicago-based Walz Capital announced today their acquisition of the Eye Clinic, P.C., a 12,196 square foot net leased property at 668 Skyline Drive in Jackson, TN.
Skyline Building Partnership – which will continue to lease the property – sold the property to Walz Capital for $3,700,000
The Eye Clinic, P.C., has been an active ophthalmology practice in the area for nearly 50 years.
The building is strategically located next to the 642 bed Jackson Madison Hospital.
“We are pleased to add this asset to our portfolio and look forward to maintaining a long-term relationship with the physicians at Eye Clinic, P.C.,” said Collin Kraft, vice president acquisitions of Walz Capital. “Medical office real estate has become an investor darling partially due to the pandemic, and we remain optimistic heading into 2022. This transaction went incredibly smoothly thanks to Buchanan Realty Group, the partners at Eye Clinic P.C., and all parties involved.”

Arkansas accounting firm merges with Alexander Thompson Arnold PLLC
Hot Springs, Arkansas – Regional accounting firm Alexander Thompson Arnold PLLC (ATA) is adding a presence in the state of Arkansas through the acquisition of top local firm JWCK, Ltd., formerly known as Jordan, Woosley, Crone & Keaton, Ltd., effective January 1, 2022, according to a press release from Alexis Long, ATA Marketing Director.
“ATA has had a long-standing interest in establishing a strong presence in Arkansas,” said ATA Managing Partner John Whybrew, “We believe that this strategic merger with JWCK allows the firm to grow in new markets with like-minded professionals as well as continue our multi-year growth plan.”the merger with JWCK adds 14 professionals to the ATA team, including three principals and two partners, Christina Ellis, CPA and Courtney Moore, CPA.
