By mid-afternoon, Monday, ‘Koins for Kids,’ had totaled $16,931.65 – and counting.

On-air personality George B. – NEWS/TALK 101.5 FM, 93.1 FM & WNWS.COM – came up with an idea for a fundraiser to benefit the ‘Rusty Mac Adopt A Teen Christmas Fund,’ after doubting there was or is a shortage of coins in the country.

With what should be considered a now modest goal of $5,000, the public responded and the total continues to grow.
