Stephanie Graham is the new Public Information Office at the Jackson Police Department.
A Jackson native, Graham graduated from Jackson Central-Merry High School, attended Bauder Fashion College in Atlanta and is a student at Lane College.
“I have always been into the community (and) around Jackson, I do a lot of community events,” Graham said, “I want to be in role where I can continue to help the community and bridge the gap between the police department and our constituents.
“I want to work with youth groups, ministers – shine a positive light on the JPD.”
Stephanie steps in for Derick Tisdale, who will concentrate solely on his duties as Deputy Chief of Police.
“We are very excited about what Stephanie is going to do for the department,” Derick said, “She has been bringing a lot of energy and been active community. She has great ideas about the community and as a civilian, she will get a different insight – because she is a civilian in a law enforcement world and she will be able to take what she is seeing from this side and do a comparative study – ‘this is what I see, this is what I know.'”
