State Representative Chris Todd announces re-election bid for District 73

“Top Priority is to Continue to Fight for Conservative Principles and the People of Madison County”

(Jackson, Tennessee) – State Representative Chris Todd today announced his intentions to run for re-election to the Tennessee State House- – District 73 – in 2024. The Republican primary election is slated for August 1st, 2024, and the general election is November 5th, 2024.

Todd has served Madison County as a State Representative since 2018.

Chris Todd is a highly respected, true conservative who has consistently balanced the state
budget, cut taxes on numerous occasions, kept our schools strong, protected the lives of the
unborn, and defended 2nd Amendment rights for gun owners.

Chris Todd hit the ground running in leadership roles when his freshman class colleagues elected him as their leader and chief spokesperson. The Speaker of the Tennessee State House later appointed Chris Todd Chair of the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, a role he continues to serve in.

“Representing Madison County is one of the most honorable endeavors I have ever experienced, and I’m excited about the opportunity to continue to serve the community where I raised my family, built a business, and worshipped,” Todd said. “Common sense and my Christian faith tell me that we must protect our conservative values to thrive.

“I will always protect the people’s best interests, and make sure Madison County always comes first.”

After graduating from Union University with a degree in Biology, Todd worked as an environmental specialist with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.

For 27 years, Chris has owned and operated Envirogreen, Inc., a local small business that offers
grassing and erosion prevention services.

Chris has been involved in several organizations, including chairing the Leadership Council of the National Federation of Independent Business, Madison County Environmental Appeals Board, Legislative Representative on the Tennessee Advisory Council on State Procurement, West Tennessee River Basin Authority Board of Directors, and Southwest Development District Executive Committee.

He is also a lifetime member of the NRA and TFA.

Chris and his wife Melissa have been married for over 33 years and have three adult children.

He has served as a West Jackson Baptist Church Deacon for more than 27 years.
