Dancing with the STARs will be held at the Carl Perkins Civic Center – doors open at 6 p.m., and the event begins at 7 p.m., today.
Presented by Leaders Credit Union and benefiting The STAR Center, the event will feature seven couples that range from bankers to business owners, nurses, and realtors. For over 36 years, this community has supported people with disabilities and their impact is felt across the region. The mission of The STAR Center is what drives the teams to fundraise and prepare for the competition.
Donations allow people who come to The STAR Center to turn their challenges into opportunities and rise above their circumstances. By attending or donating, guests will help make a difference in the lives of those who need it most as we #CrushTheNO for individuals with disabilities our community.
About The STAR Center: The mission of the STAR Center is to help any person with any disability realize their potential. Through our services, we can assist a child with communication, prepare a person to obtain their first job, and enable the elderly to remain independent. We are dedicated to ensuring people with disabilities have the opportunity to make their dreams a reality.
