(July 12, 2014) JACKSON Tn – Son Is A Person Of Interest In Connection With The Homicide Of His Father.
Clayton Nelson is wanted for questioning in connection with the homicide of his father 57-year-old Jeffery Nelson.
At approximately 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning police were called by a Nelson family member to make a welfare check on Jeffery Nelson. Â Police arrived at the home in the 800 block of Westwood Street, Jackson TN, and found the door open. Â Inside the home officers discovered the Jeffery Nelson dead from and apparent homicide
According to Captain Tyreece Miller, the door showed no sign of forced entry. Â Miller said investigators have developed Jeffery Nelson’s son Clayton Nelson, as a person of interest.
Authorities are not releasing details about the investigation including cause of death or how long the victim has been dead.
Miller said Clayton Nelson is 29 years old, described 7′ 2″ tall and weighs 255 lbs. he is a white male with brown hair and blue eyes. Nelson is believed to be driving a black 2001 Infiniti QX4 SUV, license plate # 419-NJW. Â Clayton Nelson may be in the middle Tennessee area specifically Cheatham or Williamson County. .
