Son and Mother Indicted In 2013 Homicide

Brittany Christie of Henderson was found dead Dec. 6 inside a motel room. An autopsy revealed she died from a combination of the drug clonazepam and heroin.
JACKSON, Tn.  — John Christie has been indicted in the 2013 overdose death of his 26-year-old estranged wife Brittany, and his mother, Edythe Didi Paschall Christie  has been charged with tampering with evidence that police say linked him to the crime.
Jackson police said 31-year-old John Christie of Jackson was charged with second-degree murder and tampering with evidence and 56-year-old Edythe Christie of Medina was charged with evidence tampering and arrested Thursday.
John Christie remained in jail on $500,000 bond. No bond has been set yet for his mother. Online jail records did not indicate whether they were represented by attorneys.

John Christie will be arraigned next Monday in Madison County Circuit Court. Edythe Christie will have a bond set and will be arraigned in Circuit Court on a date to be determined by the judge. Edythe Paschall Christie is a local attorney listed with the Jackson Madison County Bar Association.
