(January 22, 2014) Jackson, Tenn.- The Jackson-Madison County Board of Zoning Appeals discussed a solar farm that is to be in the county.
The Providence Solar System would be installed on land at 33 U.S. Highway 138. It is situated in an FAR district which allows this use on appeal.
Over 20 people who live or own property in the area were there to speak against the proposed development.
One of those people was John Thomas Moore, a farmer in the area.

Another one is County Commissioner for District 7, Gary Tippett. He is the commissioner for the area.

The motion was tabled so that the company, HelioSage, can discuss compromises with the residents of the area.
