From the Jackson Police Department –
An investigation continues in a case involving a robbery at Kay Jewelers at the Old Hickory Mall, 2021 North Highland Ave., at approximately 4:14 p.m., Monday.
Employees inside the business witnessed four black males enter the business and use hammers to smash jewelry cases.
Approximately $20,000 in merchandise was stolen from the business.
The suspects fled the scene in a white Dodge Charger with temporary tags and a black Mercedes – westbound.
The ‘smash & grab’ was the second at Kay Jewelers in less than six weeks.
On May 28, thieves stole $200,000 worth of jewelry.
