Shooting Is Still An Ongoing Investigation, Aspiranti Remains In Jail

THREE WAY, Tenn.—The passenger involved in the shooting that occurred in Three Way on Friday remains in jail but as of Monday morning no charges have been filed.

19 year-old Robert Aspiranti of Jackson, remains in custody in the Madison County Jail on hold for investigative followup by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation

On Friday afternoon Madison County Sheriff John Mehr confirmed with WNWS that at approximately 1:30p.m. dispatch received a call of an officer involved shooting off of Highway 45 South in Three Way.

The shooting took place after Madison County Sheriff’s deputies approached two individuals parked in a car at 18 Three Lane. The two were identified as individuals the deputies were seeking information from regarding an ongoing investigation. According to authorities, as the deputies approached the vehicle, the driver attempted to run over one of the officers.

One officer fired at the vehicle, which proceeded to cross four lanes of Highway 45 before running into a fence on the property of Quality Products.

The driver of the vehicle, 18 year-old Dillon C. McGee of Jackson was killed in the incident, Aspiranti  was uninjured.

McGee had active warrants there were signed Friday morning for assault, domestic violence, aggravated robbery and false imprisonment.

Neither deputy was injured in the incident.

Dillon Chadwick McGee (1995 – 2014)

Mr. Dillon Chadwick McGee, age 18, of Humboldt, passed away on September 26, 2014.

Funeral services for Dillon will be held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Christian Church, 419 Old Humboldt Rd., at 2 p.m. with Father Justin Havens officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Dillon was born on November 12, 1995 in Jackson, TN to Chad and Christina Adamopoulos McGee. He was a loving son who loved his family. He was an avid sportsmen who loved hunting and fishing. Dillon could fish for five hours, catch nothing, and still have patience. He was a loving son who will be missed by all.

He is survived by his son, Easton Chadwick McGee; parents, Chad and Christina McGee; his five brothers, Matthew, John, Christopher, Nicholas, and Thomas McGee; two sisters, Elizabeth and Mary McGee; his paternal grandparents, Denise Youngson and Dennis McGee; his maternal grandparents, Nick and Jackie Adamopoulos; and his fiancé, Shelby Rene Lipford.

Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at St Nicholas Orthodox Christian Church, 419 Old Humboldt Rd., Jackson with a short memorial service at 6pm.
