JACKSON TN (Oct.4, 2019) – At approximately 10:23 Friday morning Jackson Police Dept received a call of a shooting at the intersection Fairway Boulevard and Winding Lake.

Officers responded quickly to the scene and identified the victim vehicle. Inside the vehicle officers located one victim deceased from an apparent gunshot wound and a second victim who was transported to a local hospital. The second victim is in stable condition.

Police quickly obtained a suspect description. A person matching the description was located walking south on Highland near Sherwood Drive. That person was taken into custody and a weapon was found to be in their possession.

According to Jackson Police Dept Chief Julian Wiser, the entire incident was contained within the vehicle and neither of the victims nor the suspect our residents of the neighborhood where this occurred.
