JACKSON, Tenn — One person has been taken to a local hospital after being
shot in east Jackson.

Authorities confirm that shortly before 5:00 p.m. Sunday evening officers
responded to the Lincoln Courts Apartments in east Jackson. Officers
located a gunshot victim. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital. The condition of the
victim is unknown.  The incident remains under investigation. No suspect
information or motive was available.
