The number of people indicted for selling illegal prescriptions has reached 60, and include 31 doctors, seven pharmacists, eight nurse practitioners and seven other licensed medical professionals.
The number indicted include seven from Jackson-Madison County –

MD – Alexander Alperovich, 1340 Union University Drive
MD – Charles Alson, Facility – Stanley Medical Services, 367 Hospital Blvd.
MD – Jay Shires, 620 Skyline Drive
MD – Thomas Ballard, Facility – Superior Heath Wellness, 1563 South Highland Ave.
MD – Andrew Rudin, 557 Zachary Lane
MD – Loran Karlosky – Facility – Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, 620 Skyline Drive
The charges involve more than 350,000 illegal prescriptions written in Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama and West Virginia, according to indictments unsealed in federal court in Cincinnati.
