Store signs and empty display cases are all that remain at Sears, which closed Sunday at Old Hickory Mall, 2021 North Highland Avenue.
The retailer was once recognized as an anchor retailer at the mall.
Officials of the mall could not be reached for comment about plans for the vacated 89,000-square-feet of space that is now vacant.
Sears filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in October 2018.
Five years ago, Sears had 2,073 stores.
