Ronnie Carter, retired TSSAA executive director, is scheduled to visit with Joe Holloway, Jimmy Butler and Bill Hamilton, when ‘Saturday Sports Roundup’ airs on NEWS/TALK 101.5 FM & WNWS.COM, from 10 a.m. to noon, today.
Background on Ronnie Carter, who is only one of three people to direct the TSSAA –
- Took position of Assistant Executive Director at TSSAA in 1978
- Upon Gill Gideon’s retirement in 1986, he became the Executive Director of TSSAA
- Served on numerous National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Rules Committees
- Member of NFHS Board of Directors from 1988 to 2002
- Elected President of the NFHS for the 2001 – 2002 term
- Retired in 2009 after serving 31 years with the TSSAA (23 as Executive Director)
Joe, Jimmy and Bill will also visit with area high school football coaches.
