Road work schedule for West Tennessee counties

There will be possible DAYTIME or NIGHTTIME lane closures at various locations in Region 4 to make repairs or new installs on an as needed basis at various locations throughout the 21 counties.

 

District 47

 

BENTON COUNTY

 

I-40 at Exit 126 The grading, drainage, and paving on I-40 at the US-641 (SR-69) interchange (Exit 126) will cause temporary lane closures throughout the project.

 

CARROLL COUNTY

 

SR-1 The Resurfacing on SR1 (US 70) from near Rutherford Fork Obion River to SR22 includes all directions of Huntingdon Square) will cause temporary nightly and daily lane closures throughout the project for milling and paving.

 

CARROLL COUNTY

 

SR-76 (US-79) The grading, drainage, noise walls, signals and paving on U.S. 79 (S.R. 76) from near S.R. 77 to near Cutlip Lane will cause lane closures throughout the project.

 

In June, traffic was shifted to the new alignment from near Cutlip Lane to the Connector Road leading into Trezevant, speed limit reduced to 35 MPH. Traffic will proceed down new alignment to an All Way Stop and then proceed onto Old US79 (SR76). Weather dependent.

 

Dorsey Road is projected to close for utility realignment and road construction, weather permitting.  Detour route will be delineated by signage.

 

Clay Farm Road is projected to close for utility realignment and road construction, weather permitting.  Detour route will be provided along Newsome Rd and will be delineated by signage.

 

DYER COUNTY

 

SR-78 The Resurfacing on SR78 from near US 51 (SR3) to SR103 will cause temporary nightly and daily lane closures throughout the project for milling and paving.

 

GIBSON COUNTY

 

SR-54 On August 5 and 6, the replacement of a cross drain will cause a road closure on SR54 at Mile Marker 11.8.  Message boards are in place for advance notification and a detour route will be provided.

 

HENRY COUNTY

 

SR-218 The Resurfacing on SR218 from SR77 to SR76 will cause temporary lane closures throughout the project.

 

OBION COUNTY

 

U.S. 51(SR3) The construction of turn lanes on U.S. 51 (S.R. 3) at Greenfield Drive/N. Morgan Street for State Industrial Access (SIA) support serving Williams Sausage HQ will cause an inside lane closure on U.S. 51(SR3) to thru traffic during construction. The cross-over at Greenfield Drive and N. Morgan Street will also be closed to thru traffic during construction. The Speed Limit is reduced from 50 mph to 40 mph on U.S. 51.

 

OBION COUNTY

 

U.S. 51(SR3), U.S. 45 (SR 5) Soil boring work will cause temporary lane closures on U.S 51 and U.S. 45 in South Fulton.  This work will take place in the interchange of U.S. 51 and U.S. 45 and areas immediately adjacent to the interchange along these routes.

 

District 48

 

CHESTER COUNTY

 

SR100 between E. Main Street and Baker Road

 

Crews are replacing 2 bridges on SR100 between E. Main Street and Baker Road. Please use caution throughout the area.  There is a temporary traffic signal in place at the bridge over Dry Creek, east of Henderson.

 

Restrictions – Speed limit is reduced from 55 MPH to 45 MPH on SR100

 

DECATUR COUNTY

 

SR20 (US 412) From SR69 (LM 3.59) to the Perry Co line (LM 9.14) in Parsons, TN –  There will be lane closures daily for resurfacing work including bridge repairs.

 

DECATUR COUNTY

 

SR69 from Brooksie Acc. To Old Tennessee 69

 

Today (July 31) through Wednesday, August 6, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. – There will be temporary lane closures on SR69 from Brooksie Acc. To Old Tennessee 69 (LM 19.73-31.5) for asphalt coring.

 

HARDEMAN COUNTY

 

US64 (SR15) from Walton Road to Davis Way through Bolivar, TN – There will be lane closures daily for resurfacing work including bridge repairs.

 

HARDIN COUNTY

 

SR128 from US64 (SR15) to near Clifton Road – There will be lane closures daily for resurfacing work including bridge repairs.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY

 

SR180 Near Jeffries Road to Raymond Akin Road – Closed to through traffic

 

SR180 is closed to through traffic for crews to repair the bridge over Lost Creek just north of Nutbush, TN due to damage caused by the recent multi-day flood event.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY

 

SR87 from Allen Cox Road to SR19

 

Continuing through Friday, August 1, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. – There will be temporary lane closures on SR87 from Allen Cox Road to SR19 (LM 3.30-10.76) for asphalt coring.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY

 

SR1 from SR76 to the Madison County line

 

Continuing through Monday, August 4, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. – There will be temporary lane closures on SR1 from SR76 to the Madison County line (LM 17.31-28.09) for asphalt coring.

 

HAYWOOD COUNTY

 

SR222 from near proposed SR468 to near Camp Ground Road

 

The reconstruction and widening of SR222 from near proposed SR468 to near Camp Ground Road will cause traffic disruption daily. Please use caution through the area.

 

HENDERSON COUNTY

 

I-40 from S.R. 104 (Exit 101) to S.R. 22 (Exit 108) The resurfacing on I-40 from near S.R. 104 to west of S.R. 22 will cause temporary lane closures in both directions. One lane will remain open at all times.

 

Restrictions – Speed limit is reduced from 70 MPH to 60 MPH on I-40.

 

Continuing through Wednesday, August 6, 7PM-6AM – There will be intermittent lane closures on I-40 east and westbound in Henderson County from MM101-MM108 for milling and paving operations.

S.R. 22 from Chester County line to Taylor Bailey Road – The resurfacing on S.R. 22 from the Chester County line (L.M. 0.00) to near Taylor Bailey Road (L.M. 8.98), including thin epoxy overlay on the bridge over Piney Creek will cause temporary lane closures in both directions. One lane will remain open at all times.

 

HENDERSON COUNTY

 

SR22 from I-40 to the Carroll County line

Continuing through Tuesday, August 5, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. – There will be temporary lane closures on SR22 from I-40 to the Carroll County Line (LM 21.13-23.34) for asphalt coring.

 

HENDERSON COUNTY

 

U.S. 412 (S.R. 20) from Madison County line to Crucifer Road – The resurfacing and miscellaneous safety improvements on U.S. 412 (S.R. 20) from the Madison County line (L.M. 0.00) to Crucifer Road (L.M. 4.33) will cause temporary lane closures in both directions. One lane will remain open at all times.

 

MADISON COUNTY

I-40 – Lower Brownsville Road to South Fork Forked Deer River – The resurfacing on I-40 from near Lower Brownsville Road to the South Fork Forked Deer River, including thin epoxy overlay will cause temporary lane closures in both directions. One lane will remain open at all times.

 

Restrictions – Speed limit is reduced from 70 MPH to 60 MPH on I-40.

 

Continuing through Wednesday, August 6, 7PM-6AM – There will be intermittent lane closures on I-40 east and westbound in Madison County from MM74-MM78 for milling and paving operations.

MADISON COUNTY

 

I-40 at S.R. 138 (EXIT 68) – The interchange improvements on I-40 at S.R. 138 (Exit 68) (L.M. 0.78 – L.M. 1.34), including grading, drainage, and paving will cause temporary lane closures in both directions. One lane will remain open at all times.

 

Restrictions – Speed limit is reduced from 70 MPH to 60 MPH on I-40.

 

Continuing through Wednesday, August 6, 7PM-6AM – There are no scheduled closures.

 

MADISON COUNTY

 

US412 (SR20) at Old Bells Road

 

There are inside lane closures both east and westbound at the intersection of US412 (SR20) and Old Bells Rd. *Old Bells Road is also closed from US412 (SR20) to Bells Highway. A Detour is posted.

 

MADISON COUNTY

 

SR1 from near Valentine Road to SR186

 

Continuing through Tuesday, August 5, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. – There will be temporary lane closures on SR1 from near Valentine Road to SR186 (LM 7.03-13.94) for asphalt coring.

 

District 49

 

FAYETTE COUNTY

 

SR-222 including the I-40 interchange (Exit 42) Grading, drainage, signals, and paving on SR 222 from Hebron Drive to near Thorpe Drive, including the I-40 interchange (Exit 42), will cause temporary lane closures in both directions. One lane will remain open at all times.

 

Restrictions – Speed limit is reduced from 45 MPH to 40 MPH on S.R.222.

 

Sunday, August 3, 8PM-4:30AM – There will be intermittent right lane closures on I-40 eastbound in Fayette County from MM41-MM43, as well as the “Off” ramp at Exit 42, for removal of barrier rail.

 

BACKUP DATES – Monday, August 4 through Wednesday, August 6, 8PM-4:30AM

FAYETTE COUNTY

 

SR-194 from North Railroad Street to SR-193 – There will be temporary lane closures on north and southbound SR 194 from North Railroad Street to SR 193 DAILY to perform micro surfacing and bridge repair work.

 

FAYETTE COUNTY

 

SR-57 from SR-194 to Cowan Loop – There will be temporary lane closures on east and westbound SR 57 from SR 194 to Cowan Loop DAILY to perform resurfacing and bridge repair work.

 

LAUDERDALE COUNTY

 

SR-19 from US51(SR3) to the Haywood County line – There will be intermittent temporary lane closures controlled by Flagging operations along SR 19 for geotechnical exploration.

 

LAUDERDALE COUNTY

 

SR88 (Wardlow Street) From 2nd Street. (L.M. 19.062) to Concord (L.M. 19.306) Friday, August 8 through, Saturday, August 9 – SR 88 will be closed in both directions at the crossing CNR railroad for Railroad Crossing replacement.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

 

I-240 from near SR-57 (Poplar Avenue) to near US-64 (US-70, SR-1 Summer Avenue)

 

Nightly 7 p.m. – 6 a.m. – There will be intermittent temporary lane closures for asphalt resurfacing activities. At least one lane in each direction to remain open at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

 

I-55 at Exit 7 (US-61, SR-14, Third Street) – Friday, August 1 to Tuesday, August 5, 7 p.m. – 5 a.m. – There will be temporary right lane closures along I-55 in both directions at Exit 7 (US-61) to perform utility relocations. At least one lane will remain open at all times. Additional ramp closures to/from US-61 S Third St (SR14) and temporary lane closures on US-61 S Third St (SR14) are to be expected. August 6-8 will serve as backup dates.

 

Starting today (July 31) the following ramps on US-61 S Third St (SR14) at I 55 will be closed with detours in place:

 

·       Northbound S.R. 14 to northbound I-55.

·       Southbound S.R. 14 to southbound I-55.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

 

I-40 from Exit 18 (U.S. 64) to Exit 28 (SR-196)

 

Continuing through Wednesday, August 6, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. – There will be intermittent temporary lane closures along Eastbound and Westbound I-40 for shoulder gravel placement.  At least one lane will remain open at all times.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

 

I-40 Hernando DeSoto Bridge over the Mississippi River

 

Continuing, 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. – There will be temporary lane closures along I-40 Westbound on the Hernando de Soto Bridge for ITS camera maintenance activities. At least one lane will remain open at all times. Today (July 31) and Friday, August 1, will serve as backup dates.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

 

I-55 Memphis-Arkansas Bridge over the Mississippi River

 

Continuing, 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. – There will be temporary lane closures along I-55 Westbound on the Memphis-Arkansas Bridge for ITS camera maintenance activities. At least one lane will remain open at all times. Today (July 31) and Friday, August 1, will serve as backup dates.

 

SHELBY COUNTY

 

SR-4 from South of Shelby Drive (L.M. 1.10) to the Raines/Perkins Road interchange (L.M. 3.50): The following routes will be affected due to roadway widening activities along SR-4.

 

Affected Routes –

 

·       Lamar Avenue (SR-4) Speed limit reduced from 55 mph to 45 mph from South of Shelby Drive to the Raines/Perkins Road interchange.

·       Shelby Drive (SR-175) Speed limit reduced from 45 mph to 35 mph at the intersection with Lamar Avenue (SR-4).

·       Pleasant Run Road Closed to thru traffic from Pleasant Hill Road. Pleasant Run Road is closed from Lamar Avenue (SR-4).

 

TIPTON COUNTY

 

SR-54 from US-51 (SR-3) to the Haywood County line – There will be temporary lane closures on east and westbound SR 54 from US 51 to the Haywood County Line DAILY to perform resurfacing and bridge repair work.
