From the Madison County Highway Department –

Bart Walls, Madison County Highway Superintendent, has authorized the closure of Christmasville Road for a culvert replacement TUESDAY OCTOBER 31 and WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 1, 2023.

Repairs will be performed on Christmasville Road at the culvert located approximately 400 feet south of the intersection with Darnell Road.

The road closure begins at 8 a.m., Tuesday, October 31 and continues through 5 p.m., Wednesday November 1, 2023.

Traffic that normally travels Christmasville Road should utilize alternate routes such as Old Medina Road, U.S. Highway 45 Bypass or S.R. 152 and U.S. Highway 70.

There will be detour route signage directing local traffic to use Key Senter Road to the north of the closure and Ashport Road to the south of the closure.

Truck traffic is encouraged to utilize the alternate routes.

Please plan your daily commute on these days to allow for a few more minutes of drive time and be alert and considerate of the presence of highway workers.
