Larry Lewis spent last weekend in Augusta, Georgia, working the 84th annual Masters Golf Tournament.

NEWS/TALK 101.5 FM and WNWS.COM visited with Larry for a question and answer session about his experience.

Question: You were one of 14 Jacksonians to work the Masters Golf Tournament in security. How were you selected?

Answer: We were required to submit an application, go through a background check and a drug test. Securitas paid for our hotel rooms and gave us $25 per day for meals.

Question: How many times have you worked the tournament, and what was your assignment?

Answer: This is my second year to work the tournament, and my primary post was the first green to the second tee as well as the ninth tee. My secondary position was guarding the CBS camera at the 16th green.

Question: How difficult is it not to watch the tournament?

Answer: I was able to watch the some of the tournament in my area of responsibility, but I had to ask a patron who won the tournament, because I was still on the course when the tournament ended.

Question: What was the overall experience like, and is it something you would recommend?

Answer: It is long days and not much sleep, and you are on your feet most of the day, but I really enjoy getting to meet people from all over the world and to be a part of the Masters.

Question: Do you play golf? If so, are you an avid golfer, or do you play occasionally?

Answer: I am a member of Woodland Hills and try to play at least twice per week.
