[Jackson, TN] — At approximately 6:05 p.m., on January 5, 2026, officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to a call at 127 Stonebrook Place (Five Below) regarding a report of an individual running into the store with a possible firearm.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the store clerk, manager, and three juveniles on the scene.
After investigating, it was determined the incident was a prank involving the juveniles and the clerk.
No firearm was involved, and there was no threat to the public.
The Jackson Police Department appreciates the cooperation of those involved and reminds the public to take reported threats seriously, as officer response is necessary to ensure community safety.
