Police Want Public’s Help In Monday Shooting

JACKSON Tenn (July 8, 2015) — Police say they have good leads but need the public’s help in solving a Monday afternoon shooting incident.

Police investigate after a reported shooting in a midtown Jackson neighborhood.

Around 3:30 p.m. Monday Jackson police responded to the 100 block of Hatton Street after receiving a call about gunshots.

Officers say one person was wounded after being grazed by a bullet, the injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police say witnesses saw a man leave the scene wearing black clothing.

JPD Public Information Officer, Sgt. Derick Tisdale said, “A black male subject was seen running from this location, … toward Johnson Street.
