(March 26, 2014) Jackson Tenn – Jackson Police officers responded to a domestic assault call in East Jackson and shortly identified a suspect Jeremy Mathis, who they stopped for questioning. The suspect fled officers and ran into the woods around Muse Park.
After a brief chase the suspect was taken into custody.
27-year-old Jeremy Mathis had multiple warrents for his arrest including: a capias for failure to appear, probation violation, 2 counts of aggravated burglary, theft of property over $1000, and new charges of aggravated assault (domestic), evading arrest.
Mathis was arraigned in city court Wednesday morning. the judge set bond at $75 thousand dollars..
