Two Homicides and One Man Injured
(July 27, 2014) Jackson TN – Two Homicides and One Man Injured
At approximately 1:26 p.m. Sunday, police were called about a shooting on
the 2000 block of North Royal Street. A 20-year-old Jackson man was shot
outside a duplex. The man was transported to Jackson-Madison County
General Hospital and pronounced dead.
At around 5:07 p.m. Sunday, police were called about two people
shot outside at the apartment complex at 33 Carver Avenue. A 21-year-old
man and 17-year-old male teen, both of Jackson, were struck.
The 17-year-old died from his injuries. The 21-year-old man remains at
Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in critical but stable condition.
The victims’ names will be released once next-of-kin notifications are made.
At this time, no known connection exists between the two shootings.
Police are pursuing leads in an attempt to identify suspects in both
shootings incidents.
