Police Investigate Sunday Night Shooting in Lincoln
Courts

Jackson police are investigating a Sunday night shooting and are
seeking a person of interest.

Around 11 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the Lincoln
Courts Housing Complex. A 20-year-old man was found on the
sidewalk near the 128 building with gunshot wounds. He was
transported by ambulance to Jackson-Madison County General
Hospital.

As of Monday, the man remains in the hospital in stable condition.
Investigators have identified a person of interest, and the
investigation is ongoing to find this individual.

The person’s name is not released because he has not been
charged.
