JACKSON Tenn — Around 12:15 a.m. Monday, Jackson police responded to a shooting at Hamilton Hills Apartments on the 800 block of Old Hickory Boulevard. 

Based on the preliminary investigation, two armed intruders entered an apartment. A 33-year-old man ran from inside the apartment. One of intruders chased the man outside and shot him once in the abdomen. 

The man was transported by ambulance to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was treated for his injury and released around 11:30 a.m. 

It appears that the victim was specifically targeted. The investigation is ongoing to determine a motive. 

The only available description of the suspects at this time is two black men wearing bandanas.
