Obviously, there were people who attended Tuesday night’s meeting that have concerns about the future of their school. Â There were also supporters of the Vision 20/20 plan an attendance who want to learn more and encourage the board. Â Mike Pace, a citizen who attended the meeting said he is there to support the board and ask them to follow through with the tough decisions that will make the school system better for the entire community.
Many others expressed concerns. Brad Greer likes the plan for elementary and middle school but said he urges the board to hold off on any decisions regarding the high schools because he says there is a lack of consensus. Â Harrell Carter wants to see the deadline of December delayed so that more information can be gathered from the community and feels the emphasis is not on education results.
Visit the Vision 20/20 website and share your thoughts about the proposals. Â You are also encouraged to contact your local school board member.
