Pepper Pratt leaving Youth Town

After serving five years as executive director of Youth Town, Pepper Pratt has announced his plans to return to full-time counseling and ministry in the private practice, clinical setting.

Following Pratt’s resignation, Youth Town’s board of directors has asked former executive director Nick Pappas to serve as interim director.

“We are grateful for these five years of sacrificial leadership and service that Pepper has devoted to young people through Youth Town,” Clay Williams, board president, said. “Under Pepper’s leadership as executive director, Youth Town has experienced exponential growth and expansion opportunities in our mission and facilities. Our board praises God for the use of Pepper’s time, abilities and effort during these years.”

Under Pratt’s leadership, Youth Town has expanded its services from substance abuse only to co-occurring disorders treatment.

Eden of Youth Town has been planned and established to serve young women with specialized programming, and countless improvements have been made to the Jericho facility for young men.

Outcomes show that more than 70 percent of Youth Town residents are still doing well one year after treatment.

Youth Town of Tennessee is a residential treatment facility, offering hope for adolescents and their families through an environment embodying the unconditional love of Christ. For more information, individuals may visit youthtown.net or call (731) 988-5251.
