CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. — A Chester County pastor is charged with sexual assault, according to court documents.
Authorities have charged Mike Ulmer with two counts of rape and one count of sexual battery, according to an affidavit.
Mike Ulmer is the pastor of a local church in Henderson and a teaching assistant at Chester County High School.
Director of Schools Troy Kilzer confirmed Ulmer was suspended without pay Feb. 17. Ulmer last worked with the high school in-school suspension program.
The alleged victim is an 18-year-old high school student. According to police, Ulmer is the student’s preacher and gave her a ride Feb. 16 from Chester County High School to his residence
The victim told police Ulmer tied her hands and kept her in a detached garage . The victim alleges she was sexually assaulted, according to court documents.
Ulmer appeared Tuesday in court and entered a not guilty plea. His next court appearance is scheduled for 10 a.m. on May 9.
He is free on a $250,000 bond.
