Pacific Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc.,, which produces stamping products at its Jackson facility, is expanding its operations at 555 Smith Lane.
Located on 40 acres across from McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport – with an additional 20 acres to accommodate growth – Pacific Manufacturing opened in 2015, and has about 60 full time employees, with the expectation of reaching full capacity of 190 people in 2019.
Stamping products produced include oil pans, central pillars, luggage hinges, hood lock hooks, among other parts.
The 183,000-square-foot facility is only the second site Pacific Industrial has selected in the United States.
Pacific Manufacturing Ohio Inc. was established in Fairfield, Ohio, in 1988. The company has grown from 20 employees to 630.
A few of the Japanese-based company’s leading customers include Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Toyota.
Pacific Industrial Co. has five manufacturing facilities in Japan, two in China, two in Korea, and one each in Thailand and Taiwan.
Company officials could not be reached for comment.
