Jayden Jennings, a senior running back/linebacker at Peabody High School, has been named the high school football ‘Player of the Week,’ by Golden Media Group – 101.5 FM.

Jennings rushed for 187 yards and scored two touchdowns in Peabody’s 45-21 win over Jackson Central-Merry at Lane Stadium, Friday.

On defense, Jayden contributed three solo tackles and assisted on three stops.

“Jayden Jennings had a heck of a ball game,” said Tab Vowell, Peabody’s head football coach. “He made a lot of plays Friday, and the thing about Jayden is, he carried us during the fourth quarter.

“He had some tough yardage runs, made several big plays on defense … overall, he had a great night.”
