One suspect captured after early morning break-in; 2 still being sought

Early this morning burglars tried to break in to Main Street Pharmacy in Brownsville. Police chased the suspects from the East Main Street Store to Stoots Road. Stoots Road is a dead-end road located off Windrow Road just west of I-40’s Exit 56.

Officers and a police helicopter using forward looking infrared technology (FLIR) are presently searching the area for two men.
They captured one suspect but are looking for two more that apparently fled on foot into fields and wooded areas near Stoots Road. Police said one suspect ran toward the northeast (toward Highway 76) and the other toward the northwest (toward Windrow)
Police recovered three cellphones, burglary tools and a small amount of marijuana from the car.

Officers were alerted by the store’s alarm system and saw a black Camaro leaving the scene and gave chase. The car turned onto Windrow Road, the driver likely thinking he was headed west on I-40. Investigators think the trio may be from the Memphis area.
