Madison County Sheriff John Mehr confirms a traffic fatality occurred just before 6 p.m., Tuesday.
According to a press release, it was a one vehicle crash in the area of 160 Cotton Grove Road in east Madison County.
MCSO Deputies responded to a call where 25 year old Jasmine Shanice Hampton of 311 W. King St. in Jackson had left the road and driven into a tree line. Next of kin has been notified. Please keep the family of Ms. Hampton in your prayers.
